Deputy State’s Attorney
G. Robert “Bobby” Mowell is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and the University of Baltimore School of Law. He began his legal career with Tydings & Rosenberg LLP, a prestigious mid-sized firm in Baltimore, with a focus on commercial and medical malpractice litigation. After moving back to the eastern shore, he worked for a firm with a general practice in Kent County. While in private practice, Bobby was named a Maryland Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2015 (business litigation) and 2016 (criminal defense). He joined the Office of the State’s Attorney for Kent County in 2016 as an Assistant State’s Attorney, and was appointed Interim State’s Attorney by the Honorable Harris P. Murphy in September 2017. After the election of Bryan DiGregory as State’s Attorney in November 2018, he was appointed Deputy State’s Attorney.
Bobby lives with his wife and two boys in Queen Anne’s County. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 130 in Chestertown, earning the rank of Eagle Scout, and is a graduate of Queen Anne’s County High School.
Assistant State’s Attorney
Chloe Campbell is a graduate of Ursinus College and Widener University Delaware Law School, Wilmington campus. She has been a member of the Maryland bar since June of 2017. Her previous experience includes serving as Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Keith A. Baynes, Administrative Judge for the 2nd Judicial Circuit of Maryland, and Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Cecil County, Maryland. She grew up in North East, Maryland and attended The Tome School from Kindergarten through twelfth grade. She moved to Chestertown when she began working as Assistant State’s Attorney for Kent County, Maryland.
